Arbitect® was created by Architect and Arboriculturist Dr Gary Winn. Arbitecture® being the harmonious relationship between trees and buildings; a relationship that results in equilibrium. A relationship in equilibrium represents a situation where there is no detrimental impact on the tree or the building when situated in close proximity. Close relationships between trees and buildings may occur when correct mitigation is incorporated. Dr Gary Winn’s doctoral research developed a tree-building system that included such mitigation and enabled trees and buildings to co-exist in close relationships in equilibrium.
